Activities

The project has been running over 2 years from October 2006 until October 2008:

As an introduction, teachers from the project's VET institutions have been trained in teaching with MP3 and internet-radio broadcasts. Local radio stations have supported this training with professional radio journalists.

An interdisciplinary teaching module of about 4 weeks was the result of the four countries' preparations. This module is implemented as local trial runs with students in summer 2007. These trial-runs have just been evaluated in October 07, in order to develop the final teaching module.

During the trial run, teachers and students have produced sound files and radio broadcasts. These productions are published locally, and it is possible to acquire them. Some of them, you can find on this website.

During winter 2007 one common cross-national radio broadcast will be produced by teachers and students and published as a podcast in spring 2008.

Finally, the partners will publish a common cross-national radio production, containing elements from students' broadcasts, teachers' pedagogical reflections, discussions of technical experiences and practical advice.

This final digital radio production will be published in March 2008. Follow these pages!

In spring 2008, a starter-kit will be available: The final audio-visual description of the teaching module. It is meant as a support for the implementation of Internet-radio as a learning-tool at schools and VET institutions in the European countries!

Interim results, October 2007

The 3rd trans-national meeting of all partners has just been run. Working results from the trial runs have been presented, and the finishing activities got planned. Check out the menu 'starter-kit' for interim results!
But also the cooperation between the partners has brought striking considerations and wishes for the futures:

"Dear Partners,
We have safely arrived in Budapest. I think we can all agree that we had a very useful, well-paced and efficient meeting.
Ilhan, we have to thank you and Ibrahim for the great organizational work that you have done to ensure the success of the meeting. You have made every moment of the seminar enjoyable and useful.
Thank you all very much for the opportunity. I can say, in the name of all my colleagues who want to bring changes into the Hungarian educational system, that these meetings are extremely important for our school as well as for our country, and give us new encouragement for the further work.
Good bye, in the hope of meeting you again!"
